Drive to Uttarkashi and visit the town or rest by the Bhagirathi.
Day 5
Visit Gangotri through the Harsil valley, then return to Uttarkashi.
Day 6

What the package can include
Choose a private vehicle suited to the whole mountain circuit and hotel rooms near the planned night stops. A written quote should state room sharing, breakfast or dinner, parking and any driver charges.
What is not automatically included
Helicopter seats, ponies or porters for Kedarnath and Yamunotri, temple offerings and any unlisted meals are separate. Registration is compulsory and should be completed through the official portal.
Route and how to reach
Haridwar → Barkot/Janki Chatti → Uttarkashi/Gangotri → Guptkashi/Gaurikund/Kedarnath → Joshimath/Badrinath → Haridwar. Distances and drive times vary by the chosen overnight stops, traffic and mountain road conditions; the Kedarnath and Yamunotri stretches require separate walking or local transport.
Haridwar is a rail gateway for the western first leg toward Barkot; Rishikesh or Dehradun pickup can be arranged with a different transfer plan. Mountain drives require generous time rather than tight hourly promises.
Best time and opening dates
The pilgrimage normally runs from spring to autumn, with a busy May–June period and a post-monsoon autumn window. Monsoon travel can face rain, landslides and route disruption. Check the official registration portal and each shrine’s announced opening and closing dates before fixing flights.
For a shrine journey, use the official Uttarakhand Tourist Care portal for applicable registration and notices. Check the separately announced opening dates of all four shrines and register for each intended visit on the official Tourist Care portal. Keep a flexible day for weather near Kedarnath.
Price and booking

Frequently asked questions
What is the correct order of the four shrines?
A conventional circuit begins at Yamunotri, continues to Gangotri and Kedarnath, and ends at Badrinath. The daily routing may change with roads and permits.
Is registration necessary?
The Uttarakhand Tourist Care portal states that pilgrim registration is compulsory. Complete it for each traveller and carry the confirmation and identification.
Can the whole journey be made by car?
No. Vehicles reach roadheads; Yamunotri and Kedarnath involve walking or separately arranged authorised alternatives.
How many days should we allow?
This sample allows twelve days from Haridwar. A faster or slower plan depends on fitness, road conditions and overnight availability.
Are hotels and meals included?
Hotels can be included at the category agreed in your written quote. Meals are included only when explicitly listed.
Can older travellers join?
Many do, but the altitude and walks call for a realistic pace and individual medical advice. Tell us about mobility needs before booking.
What if a road closes?
We work from the current official travel advice and discuss a revised route or extra night; any additional cost is confirmed before it is incurred.
